So if I hadn’t mentioned it yet (you can see my “About” page), I’ve been writing a book. It’s a guide to navigating the ups and downs of starting a company, and while I can speak at great lengths about that topic, unfortunately, I’m still learning what it takes to publish a book.
I’m pleased to say I’m almost there. Keyword: almost.
It’s come time to hire a publicist to really get this baby rolling. Someone who knows book critics, who knows the morning shows, who knows the places to get the word out about my book – and to get that book past all the hundreds of other business books published every year and into the hands of aspiring and current entrepreneurs
I of course want to give free copies of the book to reviewers. But maybe that’s not a good idea.
I want to get my book into the hands of the media. But the story has to be fresh.
I tweet. Is that enough?
Let me hear your bedtime story on book publicists. Point me in the right direction.
