At Inc. 500 Conference, David Ingram interviewed by Kauffman Foundation’s Build a Stronger America

by Dave on September 27, 2009

As one of several other business owners being interviewed this week, I had the distinct honor of sharing my entrepreneurial story with the great team at Kauffman Foundation’s Build a Stronger America Toward an Economic Recovery initiative.  According to Kauffman, we as “entrepreneurs are the keys to a sustained recovery — to grow the economy, to create jobs and to revitalize America.

“For this reason, the Kauffman Foundation is spearheading the Entrepreneurs’ Movement to influence the dialog on the future of the country’s economy so that entrepreneurs and their specific needs are at the forefront of the policy decision-making process.”

What a bright spot to celebrate entrepreneur and small business success in this economy!  At last week’s Inc.500 Conference, it was both inspiring and invigorating to be among such a solid community of successful business owners and hear them so openly share their lessons learned as well as their success.  From David Neeleman sharing stories of JetBlue’s customer service strategies to hearing about  Bo Burlingham’s partnership, the Small Giants Community, it was truly evident how helpful entrepreneurs are to each other.

Here’s my Kauffman interview about how I grew Capital TechSearch over the last 8 years.  There’s also plenty of other interviews that were shared and you can find them at this link.  Stories include those from Chris Gardner, entrepreneur, author and the inspiration behind the film Pursuit of Happyness and Donna Fenn, author and contributing editor of Inc. Magazine.  Enjoy.
